BR 135 – up-date

In the light of recent events in the UK as well as ongoing tests and expected changing building regulations, 3A Composites GmbH has decided to publish a general recommendation for the use of ALUCOBOND^® A2 material on towers over 18m, mainly because of the lack of influence 3A Composites can have on the whole wall build-up and the final decision over the product taken by others.

Meanwhile, commissioned by DCLG, additional tests to our BS8414-1&2 tests have been conducted which also met the performance criteria set in BR 135: 2013. This is proof that respecting the specified wall build-up therein (including the type of insulation, the installation and necessary cavity barriers), our ALUCOBOND^®PLUS (classified B-s1,d0 according to EN 13501-1 with a calorific value of 12.8 MJ/kg) is compliant with current Building Regulations and therefore acceptable for buildings over 18m.
