Metro Gran Vía, Spain

The nights are drawing in; the darkest time of the year is approaching. Good lighting is now particularly important. So, we are off to Madrid and to its iconic underground. The city has selected ALUCOBOND® for the refurbishment of several of its metro stations. For instance, Gran Via station has taken on a futuristic, ephemeral look with blue metallic ALUCOBOND® tray panels folded into a three-dimensional rhombus shapes. Accent lighting skilfully accentuates the relief design on the station walls and creates the station’s unique appearance.
